Should we be checking gastric residuals in premature infants?

In this first video, Dr. Arun Thenappan from Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC, representing the APSA Critical Care Committee, discusses a new article in JAMA Pediatrics. The article describes a randomized controlled trial comparing premature infants who routinely had gastric residuals checked with each feed to those who did not.
