Telehealth and Telemedicine - Transforming Healthcare, Episode 4

June 07, 2022
We’re back with another new technology that we believe will transform healthcare. Telehealth vs Telemedicine…
Here’s what you need to know in a nutshell!

Telemedicine also known as telepractice is defined by the Federation of State Medical Boards as “the practice of medicine using electronic communication, information technology, or other means between a physician in one location, and a patient in another location, with or without an intervening health care provider.”

Even though we can see that telehealth and telemedicine terms can be used interchangeably, telehealth is different.

Telehealth refers broadly to electronic and telecommunications technologies and services including the internet, video conferencing, store-and-forward imaging, streaming media, and wireless communications used to provide care and services at-a-distance.
