During this session, Dr. James Tweddell provides and update on surgical practice with regard to surgeries that happen after Fontan procedure. Topics discussed include post-Fontan phenomenon (severe chronic right heart failure, venous congestion, hepatic congestion, lymphatic congestioon, restrictive lung disease, altered pulmonary vasculature, single ventricle dysfunction), and surgical interventions including Fontan takedown, Fontan Conversion, heart transplant, and lymphatic decompression.
